About The Entry

Home here is not defined by pure white. Instead, a pale wash of Grège runs throughout the interior, laying down a tonal ground that is warm without insistence. Gray is never merely gray: set among the warmth of wood, the drift of light, and finely judged materials, the space takes on a softer bearing, and settles into the quiet composure of everyday life.

In this twenty-year-old home, the circulation has been reordered in response to natural light. The bespoke layout does more than answers practical needs; one by one, it gives spatial form to the family’s habits, preferences, and even their wishes.

Different styles are blended until a way of living emerges from them. A polished contemporary idiom supplies the skeleton of the space; spare moldings drawn from English classicism introduce layers of elegance; MUJI-inspired open storage enriches the texture of ordinary days.

Grège forms the tonal ground of the home, displacing the pure white to which residential interiors so often default. Where Grège meets wood tones, the rooms take on a deeper warmth. The television wall is finished in a gray coating charged with pearl powder and natural mica aggregate. As the light shifts, its surface releases a delicate luster, subtle enough never to insist upon itself. Gray, then, no longer wears a single expression: within this home, it becomes a color of softness and nuance.

The shared living area is conceived as a study in openness and visual continuity. Through a direct, unencumbered layout, the design yields the broadest possible sense of space, allowing the living room, dining area, and open kitchen to flow naturally together. Within this expanse, the husband wanted a small corner for reading, working, or solitude. The answer takes the form of a study set within the shared area, its boundaries traced by gray-tinted glass paired with blinds. Here, time to himself remains possible without losing sight of the children’s every movement.

A design vocabulary of warmth and gentleness emerges from the tension between styles, enriched by the interplay of color. Once every element finds its proper measure, life settles into unforced ease.
