About The Entry

Situated in the core area of Beijing’s Urban Sub-Center and bordering the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to the west, the project occupies the apex of a "Golden Triangle" formed by the administrative zone, the Canal Business District, and the Grand Canal landscape belt. Here, the convergence of administrative resources, commercial vitality, and ecological assets creates an exceptional urban foundation for the development of this community cluster. The ancient waterway serves as the central protagonist of the spatial narrative; the landscape design simply ensures that this ceaseless canal continues to flow through the rhythms of contemporary daily life. The community is an exhibition hall, and returning home is akin to viewing an exhibit—this represents the landscape plan’s profound response to the land itself.

Our core concept is to create a "multi-dimensional, integrated living landscape"—a "vertical forest-mountain" suspended above the waterfront. This is not merely a rhetorical notion but a comprehensive logic of spatial organization. We employ landscape design techniques to generate undulating, continuous terrain, allowing the architecture to emerge organically from the earth. Linked by the cultural narrative of the canal and realized through the systematic integration of three key strategies, this approach holistically reconstructs eight fragmented plots into a multi-dimensional riverside oasis where nature and architecture blend seamlessly, greenery flows uninterruptedly, and the individual sites maintain their autonomy while engaging in a dynamic dialogue with one another.
