About The Entry

Located in the heart of Fuzhou's Taijiang District, the project sits where South Park and the Guohuo Road commercial artery converge, a place where historical heritage and contemporary vitality overlap and coexist.

The design borrows scenery from the city, translating the old town's crisscrossing alleyways into a garden logic of "grand courtyard, small gardens": a central atrium as the "grand courtyard" anchoring the whole, with functional nodes as "small gardens" scattered around it. Within limited ground, the design restores a sense of mountain forest so scarce in the city, setting the tone for "an artistic symbiosis of forest and metropolis."

The landscape structure takes the natural atrium as its core, opening an immersive narrative. The entrance court forms a transitional threshold from city to forest. The atrium layers two experiences: the natural atrium interweaves raw stone, moss, bamboo grove, and flowing water into a wild forest character; the boundless atrium dissolves the boundary between architecture and landscape through fluid space, with winding corridors guiding the eye and linking small-garden nodes, the coffee house, the sunken courtyard, achieving seamless indoor-outdoor integration.

The sunken courtyard draws on Fuzhou's maritime heritage, distilling the natural forms of cascading falls and rippling water into its core design language. Vertically textured hanging art installations mimic the descent of a waterfall, while "water falling on jade" sends ripples outward, permeating the entire grounds, translating the city toward a forest realm.

The corridor design abstracts traditional bamboo craft, weaving in Fuzhou's intangible cultural heritage of bodiless lacquerware. Eastern antiquity is held within a modern colonnade, carrying local cultural depth forward and layering passage, viewing, and cultural display into a single experience.

The leisure courtyard is planted with ornamental bamboo and layered natural vegetation, creating a refined, tranquil modern garden atmosphere, where natural scenery and human life coexist in symbiosis.
