About The Entry

Located in Shanghai Songjiang, it is the cultural root of Shanghai. The fascinating part of this commercial office design is that carries the historical traits and blend in the modernity of business functional space.

Designers introduce the concept “Glowing Pavilion” at the office lobby, which is inspired by the Chinese teahouse. They utilize the height of the ceiling, illuminating the project with reinterpreted traditional screens, which are adorned with the engraved acrylic panels and delicate metal details, exquisitely full-length Chinese landscape artwork, and humble hospitable lighting. With the distinct contrast of the darker wooden stripes and cooler tone of the surrounding wall and floor finishes, the Pavilion kindles the office space with a dynamic lighting effect. This novelty design gets away from the classic look and bestows a touch of coolness and modernity to the corporate image.

The Glowing Pavilion explores possibilities with space, constructing a seamless pathway for both the state of mind and business function areas. The pavilion creates a visual linkage to each area and enabling smooth escorts of guests from the reception and lobby lounge to the pre-function lounge and conference room behind, simultaneously, it further serves as a division for these areas, while ensuring privacy.
