Intertwining Lights & Shadows

With the rising retro trend during the recent years, more and more people are attracted to the old-time charisma given out by vintage pieces and antiques; this design project is a commercial space, combining café with old furniture display store, decorating with iron pieces, woodworks, light concrete and vintage furniture, hoping the area may demonstrate a retro industrial spatial sentiment.



The entire space is tightly connected to culture, presenting outstanding spatial field of vision, unique design principles, and precise ambience control, which is then refined into an exceptional and personalized aesthetic work via professional techniques. The wild and free industrial trend is accompanied by vintage decorations with temperature and sense of time, enhancing the layers while balancing the spatial sentiment within the area. The cold and warm constructional materials complement and interact with each other, leaving the lasting charisma in the space which is cherished by people. Since the building itself features poor lighting, thus the designer has designed large stylish windows to have access to natural light, allowing light to flow in the space and light up every detail of life.



The theme of a massive amount of customized iron pieces with a particular façade cut brings a surprising sensation to people. In order to demonstrate a spatial sentiment differing to the past, traditional objects are deliberately fused into the area, using red brick walls as embellishing decoration in some parts, where the encounter and conflict between different objects create a completely different spatial aesthetic sentiment, revealing extraordinary fashion.



Construct a blank scene close to the hubbub of the noisy city, sitting quietly and independently here amongst the chaos to structure a carefree and comfortable living attitude, hoping users here may forget about all troubles and re-experience the beauty of life.
