Xuanmenwan Bridge

Xuanmenwan Bridge, located in Yuhuan city,Zhejiang Province, is the domestic first single-tower cable-stayed steel bridge in moon ring shape.whose tower is 63 meters high, 50 meters above the bridge deck, and the main bridge is 671 meters long.

The shape of this bridge symbolizes “jade ring”(the meaning of the city name), which reflects “where the bright moon is rising along with the tide” from a Chinese ancient poetry, expressing people’s nostalgia.

This moon ring shaped bridge also witnesses the great progress of Yuhuan from an island county to an industrial city, implying that the hard-working, brave and self-improvement people of Yuhuan are on a new journey.

Lighting on the bridge is warm-toned in daily mode ; while variously colorful in festival mode, which displays the new era style of Yuhuan adequately.

In order to achieve the moon-like transparent lighting effect, ,we designed an innovative installation method combining point light source with perforated panel according to the shape of the bridge. We customized 1080 sprayed externally suspended perforated panels to avoid damaging the bridge structure，as well as to make the lamps properly invisible，thus you can feel the light but cannot see the light.
