Yibin Central Mansion Community Center

Located in Jinsha New Town, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, the project stands right next to the Minjiang Avenue, a key area of southward expansion of the city. The sales center covers a total floor area of about 2,616.7 square meters, with the site area occupying 4425.98 square meters. It will be initially used for marketing and display, and then converted into a community wellness center upon the completion of residence construction, with no need for demolition and renovation of the facade.

Inspired by the Dutch modern architectural concept of “thinking globally, acting locally”, the center is designed in a minimalist style featuring clean lines and concise structure. It is constructed with ultra-white glass, U-shaped frosted glass and metal aluminum plates. Visitors can find traces of traditional building elements from its large interior space, the courtyard in the north, the corridor and water landscape

Materials for the main entrance include wood-like perforated aluminum panels and transparent acrylic plates. The metal framework of the curtain wall is designed for flood lighting. In the west, the lighting effect and geometric construction enhance the look of the main entrance and further strengthen the demonstrative and sculptural function of the center. The eastern part appears quite different. The corridors of the inner court are framed with metal grille, bringing ever-changing natural light and shadow into the space while ensuring its privacy. This design also echoes with the vertical U-shaped glass on the facade. When walking along the corridors between, through the tree shades and on the water, people seem to embark on a land of idyllic beauty in the bustling city.
