People receive lots of pressure from different aspects of the society. So it is important to release pressure and restore energy at home. For most residential designs, lines are mostly applied. Straight form easily creates a solemn and restrained sense. Also, it is proved that curves avoid mental strain induced by the monotony of continuous journey along straight path and provide comfort. Therefore, this design applies plenty of curves and round furniture to lower the impact of sharp geometry. As for the floor plan, from the sofa, half-height middle wall, to the mountain-painted high wall, they pile up to shape different level of mountain. Besides, the bottom of the middle wall is composed of ripple steel which mimics a river. They both naturally shape a valley, where a relaxing space is defined. In addition, an interesting design is applied in the ceiling. It is a wavy wood ceiling cladding. It echoes with other curve elements of the space. Besides, its wavy variation seems to display its facial expression, adding a cheerful ambience to the user. In sum, these curves extend from the floor to the ceiling, forming a continuous flow naturally and creating a relaxed atmosphere. Therefore, by staying inside, the user seems to hear the echoes bouncing back and forth from the curves and consisting a symphony as if they are in the nature. Gradually, they feel relaxed and restore a great rest in a breeze.
