Qishui Bay Complex Library

The nearby mountains and sea environment served as inspiration for this project's design, which revolved around the "mountain", "sea", and "sky" three elements for the landscape and extended the "mountain" image's sand moss landscape. The blue sea wave hanging decorations on the sand and stone environment are created from the idea of "sea". On the wall of the reading area, there are artworks made out of blue and white paper that are inspired by the "sky". The veins of organic growth can be seen in the lines that radiate out from the blue sky and clean water.

The main theme of the project is "The Garden of Books", which echoes the flowing scenery of clouds and blue waves. The walls and bookcases are based on raw wood color, expressing the natural image with objects and shapes to the extreme. The space is divided into "reading area", "children's activity area", "reading lecture area" and "rest area". The different styles of each area are connected with each other, which gives birth to a strange evolution in the collision of style and breath, so that the humanistic charm and innovative spirit are perfectly integrated.

To realize coherence and coordination in vision, the designer uses symmetry technique on the plane of the reading area. The reading area is evenly divided by two columns of bookcases, creating a visual effect of symbiosis and confrontation. Around the column bookshelf, the designer constructs a sofa and shell chair with various shapes to suit the demands of various readers. Different chair configurations divide the area in half, creating separate reading areas. In order for consumers engrossed in reading and small group discussions to get along with one another, time appears to have the magic to modify the its pace in various places.

The reading lecture area is where lectures and other educational activities, such manual lessons, are held. The consumer gathering space was fashioned after a long table by the designer. The gathering power of the crowd can be produced in the classroom setting, bringing the instruction closer to the audience as a result.
