YIMUJIE is founded upon the spiritual connection between natural beauty and human empathy. It integrates oriental aesthetics with the natural environment. Through capturing, recording and reshaping these interactions,
YIMUJIE creates a Zen space that retraces the origin of life itself. it represents human’s symbiosis with nature and the pursuit of inner peace.
Located in Taizhou, Zhejiang,YIMUJIE was a barren field until we came along and tried to create a new way of life. The architect redefined and transformed the original building, using time-weathered wooden materials to mark its boundary. Outside we have a thriving green field while the inside combines architecture with Zen principles. Made with natural wood, it’s a space where our visitors grow in tune with their unique spiritual energy.
Using wood as its primary material, YIMUJIE creates a traditional Zen space through careful representation of space, colors and textures, providing its guests with a fully immersive Japanese aesthetic experience.
