Renovation of Hsinchu City Council Building

The Hsinchu City Council Building was completed in 1953. It is a historical building with a history of nearly 70 years. Therefore, the renovation of this project includes the reinforcement of the facade structure, the restoration of the traditional checkered brick vocabulary and the decoration of the indoor VIP room on the third floor. The ceiling was removed, and the waiting area at the entrance of the VIP room was raised. The triangular simple steel trusses and wooden roof rafters, which are still in their original state, are preserved for the public to view, so as to present the era style of the council building that experienced various cultures.
