HAI-KOU FUN-SONG

Regarding the planning of the "sound", the team hopes that when people mention Taixi, they can feel the beauty and goodness of this place with their sense of hearing, in addition to the visual and connotation. The song "Haikou, Our Home" is a song for Taixi. The songwriters are invited to write songs together with the residents. Besides, the design team interview and learn more about the local story, and then collect voices related to the story. Moreover, there is a co-creation workshop for local songs, where residents and expatriates from Taixi can create their songs online. The design team hopes that after hearing the song, the residents will be touched. Visually, many of the decaying old houses on Zhongshan Road have been transformed from disorganized to tidy. The unused and uninhabited spaces have become public spaces where residents can move around. The theme of the space also incorporates the objects or local stories found during the process of organizing the old houses.
