Shenzhen Metro Line 14

Metro Line 14 covers four districts and is the first eastern express line in Shenzhen. The designer team extensively considered the geographical environment of the stations to create a rail space based on the principle of "one stop, one sight", with the intention of improving the passenger experience and the cityscape.

Gangxia North Station is the largest rail transit single project in China and adjacent to the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, Shenzhen Stock Exchange and other modern and technological landmarks. The design team uses the "Shenzhen Eye", the huge open yard, as the main axis of the building, allowing sunlight to fall naturally and eliminating the oppressive and dull feeling of underground space. In addition, the mathematical principle of "Fermat spiral" is used to design a ceiling scheme with visual tension, which meets modern esthetic trends and creates an orderly and diversified form of public space. This not only reflects the humanistic nature of Shenzhen, but also shows the "modern and inclusive" rail transit hub of Shenzhen.

Huangmugang Station is the first "tunnel-station-bridge" combining building in China, and adjacent to Shenzhen Sports Center, swimming pool and other public places, and provides a strong humanistic atmosphere in the surrounding area. With "sunlight under the shade of trees" as the theme, the designer team has taken the huge column as the main element of the space, opened a large atrium, formed the curvature of the well-arranged columns and made the sunlight fall naturally into the underground. Through Louvered grilles made of special material, the team regulates the day and night light, alleviates the temperature pressure, reduces the green emission, and makes the originally depressed underground space open and bright.

The team hopes that the unique design of "one stop, one sight" will allow passengers to fully experience the unique temperament of the transit hub and neighborhood. Being modern and artistic or natural and warm, it can offer passengers a new urban experience and become the carrier of Shenzhen's modern culture.
