Aesthetics of Modern Forest

Public space design of an apartment building that the potential buyers are professionals from IT industry. The design of the space is inspired by the aesthetics of the forest, by using a clean design and modern techniques to present a natural, quiet, and comfortable atmosphere. The entire design emphasizes the functionality and practicality in order to achieve easy maintenance and long durability properties.



The entire space materials are dominated by metal and wood veneer, while the walls are covered by high-grade ceramic tiles and stone materials. Besides the light colored walls in lobby area, front desk and the couches, the entire color tone which mainly use light color; the other space elements are using dark color to bring out the classy texture. Outside the lobby hall, there is a large and shallow landscape pool, that matches the original stone landscaping, also able to reflect the scenery. The doors on the public space are hidden in the irregular division of the façade, moreover the unique lighting design makes the entire space appears to be spacious and very modern looking. The gym area uses warm color tone, and the entire wooden floors up to the walls match the wooden louvers of the ceiling, at the same time mirrors are used to give bigger space effect; and the semi-independent yoga room is also integrated to the gym area. The large sized mirror and good lighting design enhance the comfort of the gym space.

The entire design emphasizes the functionality and practicality in order to achieve easy maintenance and long durability properties. The final design result successfully transformed the forest vocabulary into modern implementations. Using precise construction to get custom cut materials and then collage them into an irregular and neat wall surface, matching with simple and soft decoration, showing elegant, stylish, and spacious space.
