The Art of Merging

The living space should be free and flexible to meet the diverse needs of the residents. This interior design planning project is a residence with a total living area of approximately 50 square meters. Through the designers' resourceful planning and exquisite layout configuration, the space is full of surprises and possibilities. By planning an open space design and well-executed organization, the designer has maintained each area's functionality while defining the sense of division.
In the interior space, a small window in the entryway allows natural light to shine through, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere combined with the warm wood texture. Following the smooth movement line, a gray stone island is placed between the dining table and the kitchen, visually expanding the area. In addition, the sofa connects the dining room with the living room and washes away the boundaries between distinct areas. On the other hand, the round baffle lamp is hung above the dining table to present a Japanese style. The sofa's back wall is decorated with bird ornaments to create a depth-of-field effect. Besides, the open Japanese-style room with a raised floor and vertical storage space allow for various uses and ample storage space. Moving slowly to the master bedroom, one will realize that the wood and warm gray fabric is continued to create a comfortable resting environment. Also, a window-side couch is set up on one side of the room to form a personal area for enjoying quality time.
For this project, the designer has planned white and light wood tones to create a Japanese minimalist style. In addition, the clever uses of wooden grilles, black lines, and gray stone create a depth-of-field effect for the bird wall decorations that adorn the walls, revealing the elegance of oriental aesthetics. The family’s daily bonding is perfectly blended through rustic colors and varied configurations.
