The site is a seven to eight-year-old pre-owned apartment, and the project serves the client couple and their two toddlers. Since the highlight of the site is the river view, the design team adopted a restrained design to highlight the beauty and create a balanced tone in all areas, providing a relaxed yet comfortable residence for the client's family. Considering that the children are still young and need enough storage space for their daily necessities, the design team utilized the irregular space next to the TV wall to create a storage room. In order not to make the storage room too abrupt, they integrated it with the TV wall and installed concealed doors in the same color to form consistency. Furthermore, because the site is in a high-rise building, there are many beams and columns in the interior. The design team aligned the cabinets and trimmed the beams and columns to cover up the defects of the original structure. In the living room and dining area, only one beam is visually visible, which greatly reduces the sense of division and oppression caused by the beams and columns.
