Borrowing from costume art and soft, graceful body curves of women, the design team has adopted points, lines, planes and solids as basic elements when subtly combining common techniques including pleating, cutting, winding, etc., so as to realize artistic shapes full of multiple interesting details. Those works strikes a balance between classicism and
deconstructivism, which lead to various visually dynamic effects (flow, undulation and extension) as well as picturesque disorder and a layered sense. The sharply contrasted or unified colors, shapes and materials convey full enthusiasm, suggesting occupants’ pursuit of uninhibited freedom.
This project always explores the infinite possibilities between people and space/life/art. The innovative techniques not only help to create an artistic atmosphere, but also contribute to the practicality of the home. The living room/dining room/tearoom/bedroom, etc. is designed with a most appropriate style according to its spatial attribute and functional requirements, with works of art on walls or in corners echo with each other to establish a connection, thereby achieving visual and spiritual harmony. For instance, the living room sheds the conventional layout, and uses irregular carpets together with specially designed sofas, to provide a comfortable, free home living experience for users, which are also applicable to multiple scenarios with strong expansibility.
The combination of hard materials (wood, metal, methyl methacrylate, etc.) and soft fabrics (cotton, flax, leather, etc.) in the furniture features diverse visual effects and textures, so as to give a warm feeling when ensuring the practicability of the furniture.
