The biggest challenge of this project is how to create a space with a high-end atmosphere and a young expression, that is how to refresh a ‘young & high-end’ brand image for OPPÔLIA. Approach from the two major aspects of “vision: emotional expression” and “scene: life profile”, the designer redefines the young lifestyle of OPPÔLIA retail store through different design methods, including recombination of space color and material, appliance of brand mascot and multicultural grafting.

A total of five product display areas, design service area, administrative office, and other auxiliary function rooms are planned in the 413 square meters of space. OPPÔLIA’s customized brand mascot, a cute cartoon palm civet, appears throughout the store in forms of 3D or graphic design elements from exterior facade to the interior space,which becomes an important visual element to capture consumers’attraction. Besides, the neon luminous characters, geometric patterns and vivid colors are combined together to make the space emotion younger and more interesting, which is enhanced by OPPÔLIA’s luxury product tuning. All of these help to redefine the ‘Affordable Haute Couture’ of integrated furniture industry. The ‘younger luxury’ is not only elaborate decoration, but also different forms in unbound styles.

In addition, the design of product showrooms follows not only function and layout, but also the different identities of house owners. For example, a cloakroom for a fashion blogger, jungle and plants decorated bedroom for outdoor enthusiasts, a French style romantically-decorated bedroom in color of vines purple and an open kitchen . A variety of living circumstances are subtly integrated with different OPPÔLIA furniture styles, creating fun and vigour for the whole spaces with a innovative purchasing experience. Even the functional area like design service center is also designed with a special topic, ‘The Adventure of Coffee Beans’. A mini coffee bar is added into this area to make the design communication between designer and consumer more relaxed and casual. The young consumers stay here just feel like they are designing their future life.
