The original layout has cramped space and poor lighting, and the overall space experience is not good.

To solve the problem, the designer added multiple loop-shaped paths of movement, so that various spaces and functions connect and combine to create more possibilities for space. The spatial proportions, details, and functional balance reflect the personality and taste of the owner. A unified mix of materials has been carefully selected and considered to convey a warm, timeless, and sustainable design philosophy.

Then the design expanded the living space by integrating the rooms. After opening the wall of the original study room, it blended into the overall space composed of the open kitchen, dining room, and horizontal living room, forming the LDK layout mode to transform the original narrow living room into a continuous and open space. The rearrangement of space provided as much exploration space as possible for the children, and it also reserved a corner for cats to play and hide. Each item has a good-looking shape with functional considerations.

Space cabinets were used to provide storage and an interface for guiding the space and behaviors. Combined with the streamlines, it was hiding and revealing simultaneously. The first step is the custom-made closed cabinet, which bears 80% of the storage capacity. It also provides the volume basis and the possibility of three-dimensional use for space modeling. The second step is the customized open cabinet, providing 10-15% of open-shelf display and endowing the space with breathability and human attributes. Finally is the finished furniture, which provides a small amount of storage while adjusting the home atmosphere to create a sense of life.

In addition, the key design of window openings on the balcony, the bay window sill in the bedroom, and the glass bricks in the bathroom changed and enriched the way light entered the room.
