During COVID-19, increasingly more people were starting to work from home, leading people had to spend more time with roommates. This situation resulting problems such as different work schedules and rest time, different living routines, and hygiene habits. Roommates is a product to reduce misunderstandings and problems among roommates and make communication smoothly. The form of the clock is inspired by the bird's nest. Birds spend a lot of time building a nest, which is similar with people need to take care of the apartment with roommates to build a comfortable living environment.

Roommates is an interactive application between a mobile phone and a clock. When a user logs into the app for the first time, Roommates will ask the user to invite their roommates together and discuss their past apartment experiences and share personal thoughts of living together. Afterward, the app invites all roommates to start creating the cleaning schedule. When it is specific roommate's turn to clean up, Roommates will send a reminder through the clock or mobile phone. This reminder can be set by the user, which can be music, lights, or icons on the screen. In addition, the app is very easy to navigate and control. After opening the app, the user only need to rotate the wheel below to switch to different functions. The interface of the app and the interactive clock is almost the same, so the user only needs to be familiar with only one interface. Also, the user can change the clock wallpaper by personal preference. Moreover, Roommates will display roommates mode which can be online, offline, or busy, where people can check whether their roommates are free or do not want to be disturbed. Money issues are also a problem that will face in shared apartments between roommates. The app allows roommates to split their expenses and check whether the rent, utilities, or other living expenses are paid or not.
