MEZZANINE

It is a two-story house built in the suburbs. The site is surrounded by undeveloped residential land, and there is a possibility that a high-rise building will be built on the south side to block the sunlight. Therefore, in order to deliver constant sunlight, we installed a large opening and atrium on the west side to secure natural lighting. By simulating the view from the neighboring land, consideration is given to blocking the line of sight. The skip floor uses a steel-framed staircase, and the handrail and the staircase cross in a bright and open space. It functions as a device that connects places and people in the moving scenery of everyday life.
