People strive for a balance between career, social, and personal life. In this residence, they can explore a leisurely and comfortable experience, perceiving a better life through the carefully planned space.

This project integrates the social functions of hospitality and the living necessities of the private residence. The main body of the space uses a gray-brown marble slate and wooden materials, complemented by contrasting styles of artistic paintings. Decorated with various natural textures, the space presents rich and diverse visuals that create a calm narrative for the room.

At the foyer, the floor is composed of tile collage and hanging display cases to create independence and a mood transformation between indoors and outdoors. Next, the public realm, consisting of the living room, dining room, and bar area, has an open concept that provides a spacious visual effect. The polished stone floors and walls complement the dedicated leather sofa chairs and the geometric-patterned carpets, reflecting an elegant atmosphere.

In addition to connecting functional spaces and public areas without barriers, techniques such as suspending, opening, and selective sectioning open up the desired domain. These techniques are included in the wardrobe designed with suspension at the entrance, the working study with a chamfered half-wall, the Japanese-themed room with the glass sliding doors, etc. A buffer zone for the multifunctional uses of public and private regions is constructed to create a spacious illusion and a sense of transparency.

To strengthen the relaxation function, the bar counter and the Japanese room meet the dual purposes of social interaction and private drinking. Located between the living room and dining room, the bar is designed with curved Acrylic Solid Surface to simulate the delicate feeling of streamlining through water. Contrary to the modern style of the overall spaces, the Japanese room adopts Japanese-styled elements and a carefully selected color scheme to inhabit a harmonic space that seeks common ground through differences.
