Located in a private and quiet area close to the Targu Mures city centre, PRIVO is a hotel concept where history and modernism complement each other to create an eminent style.

The project shows creativity and innovation through the story behind the business itself.

Restored and refurbished during 2011 – 2013, Villa Csonka is the masterpiece around which the new ensemble was built and can be admired from all the hotel`s interior halls.

Apart from any construction in the vicinity, Villa Csonka is pulled back from the street to the high ground. The resulting empty slope it is a park, organized around a meandering stone-paved alley. The new construction, called PRIVO Hotel, is positioned in the back of the plot. With it’s simple lines it becomes the background for the restored historical house.

The hotel rooms aligned on one side, offer the building an elongated silhouette. The inner courtyard is animated by the transparent corridors at each level and by the presence of the old house. The plot access is the beginning of a programmed discovery. Hotel entrance is in the background of the courtyard that has Csonka Villa as spatial nodal point. The interior design elements are surfaced with a wide range of materials in an atypical way without barriers between different elements. Volcanic stone flooring is transformed into objects like reception desk or cellar bar, white painted walls hide invisible doors. Wood, stone, white and coloured paints make every space of common areas a surprising event. Geometric composition tempers the multitude of textures.

The concept propose a unique experience based on comfort and high quality services which starts from the reception and continue in the 4 or 5 stars rooms, the minimalist business SPA, the fine dining restaurant and the PRIVO Enoteca which addresses those who search for an exclusive experience.

Effective and modern from the beginning, the concept has led to the choice of high-performance solutions. The balance between sustainability and desirable design was an important aspect respected both by the designers and by the owner of the hotel.
