Guanyuetai Life Experience Centre, located in the Purple Mountain Park of Longyan City, Fujian Province, is designed by drawing inspiration from the "art experience hall floating on the clouds". It is built on a complex and varied terrain, resolving the original height difference with the landscape to create an uninterrupted dynamic scene by blurring the boundary between the artificial building and natural environment, where people can go around. In this permanent public space, low intervention design is interlinked with the site to be integrated with the surrounding environment. Purple Mountain Park was originally a public park at the foot of the mountain. The base is located in the northern bank slope of the Purple Lake in the park, enjoying unique natural resources. The park administration hopes to build a functional building here, where people can stay and participate to enrich the cultural life of the public. The topography of the base fluctuates greatly, featuring flat ground, curves and slopes. The designer manages to the greatest extent to keep the original form of the site unchanged, while seizing the momentum to create a 3D dynamic tour scene. In each space, it makes full use of the three-metre vertical height difference, and takes advantage of the elevating steps, to infiltrate, integrate and unite the traffic, stay space and green plant system, forming a "weightless" laminated space. Creative response to the site characteristics reveals the value of the landscape design.
