The packaging design of this sauce-flavored liquor, YONGLONGCHENGYU. Legend 1915, is inspired by a tale that unfolded at the 1915 Panama International Exposition. It is said that the Chinese sauce-flavored liquor was awarded the gold medal for its exceptional fragrance, which wafted enchantingly after the bottle was accidentally dropped at the competition venue. The goal set for this design is to showcase the premium quality of this sauce-flavored liquor, whilst communicating the brand's on-going exploration and inheritance of brewing craftsmanship.
By seamlessly incorporating intricate details into the bottle, this packaging design not only pays homage to the classic tale but also conveys the irresistible allure of YONGLONGCHENGYU. The 3° inclination design adds a dynamic flair to the overall styling, which is complemented by the gold-embossed crack patterns to visually conjure up the image of "tantalizing sauce aroma wafting from a broken bottle". This imagery further creates a sensory connection to the rich sauce flavor of the liquor inside. Additionally, these crack patterns ignite various associations among consumers, resembling the graceful meander of the golden liquor and also artistically portraying the renowned Chishui River (known as the "Water Source for Mellow Liquor"). This design approach adroitly and vividly communicates the mellowness, smoothness, and lingering aroma of YONGLONGCHENGYU. Legend 1915.
The spirit of craftsmanship also shines through in the illustration, which skillfully blends a multitude of captivating visual elements in a China-chic style. From the traditional architecture in Maotai Town to the ancient brewing techniques and premium materials used, as well as the meandering Chishui River and the scenic splendor of verdant mountains and crystalline waterways, all these components seamlessly converge into a sophisticated composition, not only showcasing the brewing expertise of the people in Guizhou, but also demonstrating the unwavering commitment YONGLONGCHENGYU has made to brewing craftsmanship and the inherent eco-friendliness of the brewing process employed.
