Wuhan Geological Science Popularization Base

Relying on the comprehensive prevention and control system of geological disasters in Wuhan, and combining with the demand for geological popular science demand, SilkRoad Visual has joined hands with Wuhan Planning Exhibition Hall to build the first indoor geoscience base and the first indoor and outdoor linked geological popularisation base in Wuhan that demonstrates the geological features and urban safety of Wuhan.The Wuhan Geological Science Popularization Base reveals to the public the basic face of the geological world of Wuhan. It traces the sea and land changes of 780 million years, finds eight hidden karst strips through the city's "geological physical examination", and leads people to recognize an "undiscovered" Wuhan.The exhibition hall is designed with a variety of interactive experiences integrating science education and entertainment, allowing visitors to explore and stimulate their curiosity and imagination about the geological world. It is fun and interesting, and at the same time, it makes people have a deeper understanding of the achievements of geological work in Wuhan, which are the result of the unremitting efforts of countless unknown geologists.As the core of the museum, "The Mystery of Wuhan's Geology" area is a visually striking art form inspired by Wuhan's urban geography, with floor, wall and ceiling design combinations. Through the roles of little city planners, geological explorers and geological experts, multi-sensory experiences such as observing, touching, crawling and sweeping are combined with different interactive scenarios to create a focal point space that integrates multiple interactive exhibits.In the design of the exhibition, we have especially considered the "one-metre perspective" of children's observation, which makes the whole experience of the exhibition more friendly, inclusive and affinity. Interesting animations and graphic illustrations open a window for visitors to explore geological science knowledge. The illustrative language depicts the content of the exhibition more vividly and better realists the goal of the exhibition of teaching and enjoyment.This project aims to promote public awareness and understanding of local natural resources, regional culture and geological disaster prevention.
