Beijing Archaic Rhyme Market

The Archaic Rhyme Marketis situated at the intersection of East Chang'an Avenue and the Grand Canal in Beijing, and is an important cultural landmark within the Beijing Grand Canal Cultural Belt.

The Three Temples Square has been completed in May 2021 by excavating the historical layout, reinforcing the north-south urban axis, retaining the one-entry-two-entry courtyard form, restoring the Cheng Family Courtyard, optimizing green landscapes, and combining history, culture, and ecological landscapes.

The Archaic Rhyme Market has restored traditional street spaces in Tongzhou, such as Jixiang Hutong, using the traditional courtyard-style enclosure space as a carrier to introduce a hundred-year-old and time-honored Beijing brands, recreating the prosperous commercial scene of Tongzhou.

There is an underpass connecting the Three Temples Square and the Archaic Rhyme Market ,it’s not only bridges the division caused by the city’s fast road but also incorporates a digital museum of the temples to display traditional culture.
