BAISHA BAI-DESIGN OF B&B IN DAWEI MOUNTAIN

The project is located in Baisha Village, Dawei Mountain Town. There is no endless stream of tourists and densely packed stores here, but there are ancient footstools and intact ancient stone bridges, which have gone through a hundred years of history and show their simplicity and sincerity.

The owner is the non-genetic inheritor of Baisha Tofu.

The original site is surrounded by a patchwork of residential houses of different styles, and the owner wishes to build a new B&B within the boundaries of the original building. To the east of the site is a bamboo hill, which becomes the best natural landscape in the base.

The overall design was based on multi-dimensional thinking based on the surrounding environment, local characteristics and Baisha Tofu. "Give time back to time, give life back to life." is the vision that the project wants to portray. So we took the purity of "white", the tolerance of "white", and the cleanliness of "white" as the genes of the brand and space design, and the brand name was conveyed in a catchy tone of voice The brand name uses a catchy tone to convey the vision of "Enjoy a hundred flavors at Baisha". The interior and exterior spaces use a simple language to create a space that integrates community activities and a bed and breakfast, where people can enjoy slow living and emptiness, and feel the nature and art in the pure white space.

The design retains the entrance of the original site, and makes full use of the height difference of the existing site to create three courtyard spaces, including a water-stacked front yard, a relaxing atrium, and a wild and interesting backyard, to increase the landscape level and the richness of outdoor activities.

The architectural design is inspired by the "wooden box" for storing tofu. The relationship between the entire building and its surroundings is relatively open, and the guest rooms facing the bamboo mountain maximize the natural environment and dialogue with the mountains.
