Taide Guantang (Yanji) Sales Center

This project is located in the core area of Yanji City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, China. Yanji City is a multi-ethnic, predominantly Korean city with strong Korean cultural characteristics and traditions. Many architectural forms in the city draw inspiration from Korean architectural and interior styles, making it a city with distinctive features. Therefore, the design of this project is aimed at modernizing the style while reflecting the Korean cultural characteristics.

Yanji City is well known for its production of Forsythia, which symbolizes the warmth and prosperity of the Korean people and society. Elements of Forsythia flowers have been incorporated into the project to reflect the local culture. In Korean architecture, many architectural components draw their style from ancient Korean architecture, which is an evolution of the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty in ancient China. These elements have contributed to the unique Korean architectural style. Features like multi-level circular doors in the front hall area, the design of nested door frames in the sand table area, and window frame designs all reflect the use of these traditional Korean architectural forms.

In the atrium structure of the sand table display area where the crystal chandelier is located, we designed a space symbolizing "rising step by step," filling the space with an upward tension while incorporating the dynamic flow of water sleeves. This achieves a harmonious balance between strength and softness, and a fusion of motion and stillness in the spatial ambiance.

Extending from a larger space to a smaller one, we used the reflection of the Golden Mountain in the design of the washbasin in the restroom, cleverly incorporating Chinese landscape culture. This not only meets functional needs but also demonstrates the unique and ingenious aspects of the design.
