Dream Residence, Guiyang

The project that located in Huaxi District, Guiyang is a community complex integrating commercial, office and residential functions.
It was faced with three challenges for the complicate site: 1. It was separated from other residential areas, with an internal height difference of about 100 meters. How to use the height difference to link the site to achieve the best effect? 2. The green spaces were scattered and there were many restrictions. How to use the surrounding resources to create an urban city integrating business, culture and tourism? 3. With mixed traffic and poor display interface, how to attract popularity?
Therefore, the design team proposed three strategies to solve the site problem. 1. Made use of the height difference of the site, created a three-dimensional urban space through natural and smooth curves, met the traffic linkage between the site and surrounding areas, and created a TOD traffic. 2. Connected water and mountains to create a multi-dimensional "gathering" place. Introduced the wetland park landscape, integrated the site culture, and established a cultural theater, achieved the combination of "commerce, culture and tourism", integrated it into residents' lives, and formed a composite "gathering" place. 3. Achieved site symbiosis with local resources. Arranged traffic, and introduced nature into the site. The natural art, and flowing poetry rejuvenated the site.
The three strategies broke the convention, created a modern, unique, three-dimensional and unbounded natural complex, maximizing the utilization of the site and promoting its value to attract more people.
