"Brilliant Gem on the Banks of Chan River" – this is the design inspiration for the Grand Theater, unwavering like a colossal rock, resplendent like a precious gemstone. Situated by the banks of the Chan River, the Grand Theater appears as if a massive stone embedded in the Qinling Mountains, harmoniously melding with nature. The design of the public hall extends the building's flowing lines, engaging in a visual dialogue with the curtain wall and creating an animated visual conversation. The supporting structures on both sides delineate the unique posture of the building, exuding tension. The front of the hall draws inspiration from traditional lanterns, intertwining latticework and perforated aluminum panels, casting light and shadow in changing patterns, presenting an interplay of reality and illusion. Wooden-patterned GRG material extends from both sides of the passage to the audience seats, harmonizing perfectly with the overall design.

Throughout the planning and design process, we meticulously carved out every inch of space, creating an environment that combines functionality and aesthetics. Here, the audience will experience performances in a one-of-a-kind manner, while the community gains more opportunities for cultural exchange. The internal design of the Grand Theater adheres to the principles of green, low-carbon, and sustainability, skillfully arranging layouts, making full use of natural daylight, and minimizing energy consumption. We employ environmentally-friendly, renewable materials, consistently infusing the concept of sustainable development.

In the Grand Theater's design, the public hall and auditorium are dominated by expressive red tones. This not only resonates with the color of the pomegranate flower, the city flower of Xi'an, but also symbolizes a prosperous and bright future. In this space, the audience will not only witness performances but also become immersed in art, experiencing a rich cultural heritage.

The ingenious use of materials is one of the highlights of the Grand Theater's design: a combination of materials such as GRG, artificial stone, metal grilles, aluminum panels, paint-free decorative panels, and sound-absorbing panels creates a diverse texture and layering, seamlessly blending modernity and tradition, art and functionality.
