Located in Guangzhou, China, the landscape design for Oriental Mansion spans an area of 21,256 square meters. Its goal is to create a natural and serene environment, blending contemporary Eastern gardening techniques to establish a unique living atmosphere. The design caters to residents' desire for relaxation and freedom, seamlessly integrating dynamism and peace. It embraces a new Chinese style of living, inspired by the aesthetic concept of the Eastern academy, guiding residents into their inner world. By incorporating deep-rooted Chinese cultural heritage, the landscape design aims to evoke a sense of cultural awareness and help residents find their inner utopia.
Drawing inspiration from Chinese Fengshui principles, the design team strategically positioned 8 majestic poinciana trees and 10 elegant screen chandeliers on either side of the boulevard at the entrance. This thoughtful arrangement, set against the backdrop of lush green mountains in the distance, creates a captivating visual experience and evokes a sense of reverence and ritual. The beautifully carved railings lining the paths draw inspiration from the Jinshui Bridge of the Forbidden City. Resembling an elegant arc, this jade-shaped bridge gracefully spans over the city river waterscape. The bridge deck, made of white stone, and the metal banding on the ends of the bridge handrail, showcase the intricate details and poetic aesthetics reminiscent of a traditional Eastern mansion.
Upon entering the central garden space, one is immediately greeted by a serene pool of reflective water. The pool features miniature mountains within, adorned with lush forests, and three mountains harmoniously coexisting within the same pool. This design element serves to accentuate the central axis of the garden, creating an atmosphere of dignity and elegance. The overall ambience of the space evokes a sense of tranquility, reminiscent of the enchanting Penglai wonderland. The layout of the garden draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese classical gardens, incorporating the veranda roaming approach to both preserve the essence of classical Chinese style and establish a new style within the garden.
As one strolls through this picturesque setting, it feels as if stepping into a living painting, evoking a sense of transcendence.
