Lighting Design Of Mango Art Center

The interior lighting design of Mango Future Art Center was completed by the lighting team of Hunan Architectural Design Institute Group Co., LTD. The space is focus on the global contemporary art exhibition. Dedicated to the exhibition, collection and research of a variety of contemporary visual expressions. In order to present the accurate positioning of the architectural space, the lighting design team fully understands the architectural design and spatial design logic, with the aim of providing the space with the perfect light environment for holding various artistic activities.

The lighting design concept is defined as "design for pure white and black space art", which we call "future light box". This project contains 8 white exhibition spaces and 2 black exhibition spaces. We create white light boxes through the combination of wall washing lights and track spot lights, and create black light boxes through artistic projection. The contemporary art exhibition is mainly displayed in white light boxes, creating modern and future light environments through light design. Interactive art is displayed through black boxes, showing technology and interactive arts.

The architectural design of the white exhibition hall fully introduces natural light. In order to provide the most suitable brightness for the exhibits, the project adopts the most advanced control system. By installing brightness sensors in each exhibition wall, the sensors will automatically sense the amount of natural light reaching the exhibition wall, so as to automatically adjust the brightness output of the artificial light environment.

All the exhibition space of the building are connected by light corridors, We have designed different levels of wall washing light for the corridors connecting the white exhibition hall, and guided people into different white exhibition space through lighting. We have designed interactive light art corridors for the black exhibition hall. Experience the interactive light and shadow of technology in the corridor in advance.

The final result perfectly meets the owner's definition of future exhibition space, creating a new benchmark for exhibition art space in China. Thanks to such a perfect lighting design, visitors can enjoy the perfect art in this art space.
