Based in Shanghai, the project will radiate to the Yangtze River Delta region, serve medium and large enterprises nationwide, and face the global intellectual property trading market to build a trading ecosystem and the eye of the storm of industrial innovation and development. In addition, the trading center sets up international patent technology exhibition center, talent incubation center, financial innovation center and other space platforms to help the world's invention technology to be converted into application products and solve the matching problem between inventors and investors. As a result, the project will be built into the driving core of Shanghai's high-end value industry chain and technology upgrading to lead the development of industrial innovation clusters.

Located in the original Wugang Gas plant in Baoshan District of Shanghai, the project is close to the Yangtze River basin and the National Wetland Park, enjoying unique natural landscape and cultural resources. The project features a construction land of about 65 mu and a total construction area of about 110,000 square meters, of which: the exhibition hall is about 75,000 square meters, and the service supporting rooms (including research and development buildings, offices, apartments and living supporting rooms) are about 35,000 square meters.

It is a demonstration project of future city intelligence, and its design needs to meet multiple innovative concepts such as organic functional composition, multi-theme integration, and personalized scene customization, and also should be able to continue to connect with the innovative interface that links science and technology development to the future. The architects propose to "create the interface between digital space and physical space like manufacturing electronic products" and highlight the display function of space carrier, creating a new display system project integrating architecture, space, structure, interior, landscape, materials, technology and media, etc.
