Sunrise on the Hill: Balancing Comfort and Modernity

"Sunrise on the Hill" endeavours to infuse a sense of serenity and warmth into contemporary living spaces. Through the thoughtful incorporation of curved lines and rattan furnishings, we aim to craft an ambiance that is both inviting and comforting, enveloping residents in a cocoon of relaxation.



In Asian culture, the principles of Feng Shui hold significant importance, guiding our design choices to ensure harmony and balance. Mindful of the traditional belief of avoiding Chuan Tang Sha, or the direct alignment with a balcony upon entry, we have ingeniously utilised wood and reeded glass partitions in the hallway. This not only imparts a charm but also establishes a connection to the natural world beyond. Complementing aesthetic, modern elements such as wooden wardrobes and metal hangers seamlessly merge natural with contemporary sensibilities.



Maximising every inch of available space, we have transformed the hallway into a multifunctional area. Here, a kitchen island unit, adorned with a distinctive marble countertop, serves as a focal point, doubling as a chic mini-bar for social gatherings.



In the living room, functionality meets elegance with a wall-mounted TV accompanied by discreet shelves for storage, maintaining an uncluttered environment. The choice of a natural wooden hue for the walls instills a sense of harmony, enhanced by a subtle suede texture that adds depth to the space.



Transitioning to the study, a spacious desk adorned with an easy-to-clean surface caters to productivity while accommodating shared usage. The deliberate inclusion of negative space fosters an atmosphere of balance and tranquility, envisioning a future adorned with the melody of a piano.
