Issues related to toilets that cause environmental and social problems are very common in India. "Green Sprout" toilet system hopes to build a sustainable "product + service" system on the premise of respecting local actual conditions and toilet culture, in order to improve the toilet dilemma in Indian slums, especially the safety of women using the toilet.

Part of the "Green Sprout" products are composed of degradable paper bags, folding toilets, and classified recycling vehicles. The paper bags separately recycle feces and urine. The structure of the toilet is derived from the traditional Chinese seating "Ma Chair", which is convenient for storage. By pulling the handle of the partition in the middle, the separation and storage of feces and urine can be achieved. The recycling vehicle is managed and transported by dedicated personnel, and its design with separate input and dumping ports, as well as the classified flipping unloading method, helps workers complete the recycling work more efficiently. The service system of "Green Sprout" integrates the supply and demand relationship of residents - farms - shops, and builds a sustainable multi-benefit chain. On the one hand, the system operator encourages residents to collect excreta by issuing vouchers, and then ferments and converts it into fertilizer and biogas, which is supplied to the farm to reduce production costs and achieve system revenue. On the other hand, residents can obtain vouchers and paper bags by collecting excreta, and use vouchers to exchange for food and daily necessities at designated shopping malls, which effectively improves the quality of life.

The"Green Sprout" lavatory system has a good application prospect. From a cultural perspective, it fully respects the Indian traditional concept of not wanting to retain excreta in the home, and helps residents maintain a hygienic and environmentally friendly way of using the toilet. From an environmental perspective, centralized disposal of excreta can effectively improve the hygiene of the community and improve the quality of life of residents. From the perspective of social development, the effective operation of "Green Sprout" will promote the sustainable development of the region and increase employment opportunities.
