Cashin - Year of Dragon 2024 Packaging Design

The Lou Shang Gift Set inspiration behind the concept stems from the traditional Chinese practice of "捞" (lāo), which translates to search for fortune, much like seeking out lucky Dragon Balls in the vast ocean. Each element within the set, akin to the discovery of the Dragon Ball, embodies the promise of auspiciousness and prosperity.



In crafting this concept, the team envisioned the "Dragon Balls" not only as ingredients for the Lou Shang but also as symbolic vessels of luck. As one gathers these materials, they are metaphorically summoning the revered Fortune Dragon. To further amplify this imagery, the packaging incorporates a vibrant blend of blue and red hues, evoking the majestic presence of the dragon and infusing the festive season with a sense of positivity and harmony.



Beyond the traditional Lou Shang experience, the innovation extends to the inclusion of a second-use product within the gift box: an interactive mini-game called Dragon Ball Spin! This addition not only elevates the gifting experience but also fosters moments of joy and connection as families and friends gather to partake in the "Wheel of Fortune," creating cherished memories together.
