The name of the Hakka Heritage Exhibition is “Biang Jiangˊ”, and carries several meanings. Firstly, it expresses the Hakka people's spirit of perseverance and hard work as well as the aesthetics of life and demonstrates the power and beauty of Hakka cultural traditions and innovations. The second is that this exhibition brings together important public and private collections from six perspectives: history, life, faith, preservation, innovation, and art, which are named in the Hakka language as "saiˊ, jiangˊ, gin, biang, bien, qimˇ," outlining the multiple facets of the Hakka people in Taiwan.
To make the artifacts break away from the stereotypical image of "objects through glass," the exhibition utilizes innovative digital methods such as projection mapping and AR. Vivid interactive methods combined with the artifacts guide the audience to appreciate the connotations of the artifacts, enhancing the intimacy of the museum and the richness of the exhibition. The imagery of doors and corridors creates the concept of a time tunnel, bringing out the historical changes from the native land culture to the present-day Taiwanese culture, and also creating a unique experience.
