Shanhai Mythical Star Adventure

The indoor parent-child amusement park is themed on Shan Hai Jing (the Classic of Mountains and Seas). Integrating classical Chinese culture with modern technology offers visitors an immersive entertainment experience and creates a communication bridge for family intimacy.

The project's narrative is based on the mythological legend of Penglai, a fabled abode of immortals, in Shan Hai Jing. It recounts the adventurous journey of four protagonists to "Shanhai Star," a galaxy built on both technology and myth. In Shanhai Star, the protagonists gradually discover the potent energy of courage and communication, which boosts them to navigate the unknown passionately.

Against this background, the project's designers have ingeniously used the four unique protagonists from the story as visual cues throughout the space, inviting every visitor to join them on their adventurous journey. These anthropomorphic characters, designed with elements such as animals, machinery, and Chinese style, symbolize the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, technology, and tradition. The space also incorporates a variety of traditional Chinese architectural elements combined with a futuristic pink and blue colour scheme. This integration transcends the boundaries of conventional amusement parks, serving as a cultural exchange platform that connects the past with the future and fuses tradition with modernity, fostering a sense of connection and appreciation among the visitors.

Functionally, this space is equipped with slides, ocean balls, children's vocational experiences, and other play items to satisfy children's diverse play needs. Additionally, the space has a restaurant, snack stalls, a plush toys area, and other recreational areas, allowing parents to relax with their children. The division of the space into different areas expands its functionality and further facilitates emotional communication and interaction between parents and children through diverse family entertainment options.
