"YUTANG was established in Shanghai in 1997 and has long held the top spot in the city's kitchen sugar market. When YUTANG saw that foreign multinational companies had long held a monopoly on the Chinese liquid sugar industry, they saw a chance to innovate and decided to take on the competition by launching a new line of five liquid syrups.
In order to compete with liquid syrups in the commercial channel, brand recognition was essential. This included everything from the prominence of the logo to the presentation of figurative illustration elements, as well as the colour of the bottle, neck, cap, and labelling to optimise the recognition's presentation. Based on this, we decided to combine watercolour and Chinese ink painting illustration to highlight the characteristics of Chinese culture. This way, the primary ingredients of YUTANG syrup are visually appealing and visually striking, with colour and ink painting of branches and leaves creating a clever contrast. This highlights the syrup's carefully chosen formulas, clean ingredients, and natural juice concentrates, which give it a "healthy and naturally sweet" advantage.
Based on the combinations of expert mixologists and tea connoisseurs, YUTANG has chosen five distinct flavours to launch: rose, elderflower, red pomegranate, creamy plum, and creamy sugar-flavored syrups with distinctive Shanghai characteristics.
