JingRealm introduces traditional Chinese garden design principles into modern office space, creating a rich spatial experience within limited site conditions. This approach blends contemporary trends with classical aesthetics to foster a diverse, orderly work environment that stimulates creativity and fosters a sense of belonging. The spatial organization process involves dividing the site into open floors, standard office floors, and management levels based on openness. Each level’s function is carefully segmented, drawing on classical garden strategies to balance overall and local relationships. The interior landscape is used to enhance specific areas, ensuring a functional, well-organized workspace that harmonizes personal and communal spaces.
Adhering to popular principles, areas with the best outdoor views and abundant sunlight are designated for employee workstations, primarily located in the southwest. Open office areas feature ceiling-less designs, increasing height and reducing visual pressure. Cable trays and ducts are organized and painted light colors to minimize their presence, creating a dynamic atmosphere. Employee workstations are central to the standard office floor, surrounded by related spaces like casual work zones, supervisor stations, temporary workspaces, and open discussion areas. The casual work zones are positioned near windows, directing views outside while accommodating screen use by moving workstations inward to avoid glare.
By analyzing the site’s internal space and external landscape, the design strategy focuses on dissolving the building’s mass inwardly and guiding sightlines outwardly. This enhances spatial hierarchy, information flow, and user experience. Implementing traditional garden techniques in modern office design improves spatial organization, enriches layers, and enhances the overall experience. By considering the company’s work style, number of employees, and environmental needs, a detailed analysis ensures appropriate scene distribution across floors. This approach not only maintains functional relationships but also fosters flexibility and interaction through strategic placement of key areas.
JingRealm embodies the ideal of integrating classical garden aesthetics with modern functionality, creating a workplace that meets psychological needs and reflects humanistic care.
