Suntory, a leading consumer product company, aimed to design its new 26,400-square-foot headquarters in Guoco Midtown, Singapore. The brief was to create a workspace that celebrated the brand and fostered collaboration and growth. Inspired by Suntory’s philosophy, "Mizu to Ikiru" or living with water, our design embraced fluidity and harmony. The office features circular elements, ripple patterns, and flowing waves, unified by Suntory’s brand colors. The absence of sharp corners enhances the open and interconnected environment.

An experiential walkway leads to the reception, offering a journey into Suntory's world. The walkway's water trellis design and product display create an anamorphic effect on the Suntory signage from the lift lobby.

Instead of isolated zones, the office design interweaves vibrant hues inspired by Suntory’s products and Singapore’s public housing flats. Customized signages and murals reflect the local context. The office encourages discovery, connection, and harmony, with spaces like the reception, workspace, pantry, and game area promoting collaboration.

The reception features a mini theatre platform with tiered seating, serving as a welcoming foyer and casual spot for employees. Circular magnetic panels in the game area offer a creative platform for brainstorming and artwork. The open floor plan accommodates potential workforce growth and offers various work settings. Collaborative areas feature flexible seating, while hot desking options allow for configurability. The CEO’s work area and tech hub blend privacy and functionality. The pantry, with an open layout and breakout areas, encourages interaction.

Natural materials, greenery, and debossed Suntory signage in the reception symbolize reliability and sustainability. Calligraphic expressions of “Yatte Minahare” (Go for It!) and a Japanese-inspired mural add liveliness to the pantry. Meeting rooms showcase Suntory’s brands, displaying branding elements and product visuals memorably.

Completed in 2023, the Suntory office has received positive feedback as an inviting workspace that creatively expresses the Suntory brand.
