City of Time

The front reception area unveils the door to the past and the present Taiyuan via the lobby with its artistic ambience, where the naïve and natural characteristics fuse with the overall space. There is no cluttered decoration here but empty tranquility which shows a majestic and unrestrained sentiment.



Awakening in the lasting time to advance along the straight ladder, one would arrive at the slope when exiting the long corridor of time, where the circular slopes surround the top of the prototype, creating a futuristic atmosphere through the use of strong visual images and spatial layout, demonstrating the distinguished experience of the display center via elements including industry, taste and fashion…etc.



The passing of old things foretells the arrival of a new era. The design for this project cares more about the presentation of casualness and calmness. The exhibiting space goes from a more conservative presentation in the beginning to a more explicit style; the prototype model for the entire area is of a circle with a diameter of 7.5m, while the prototype for promoted project has a diameter of 4m and the sloped section is raised with a height of 11.6m, where the two loops of circular slopes enhance the sense of layers for space. Being here feels like passing through the door of space-time to arrive at the bright future. The natural and unrestrained modern museum temperament resembles the spiraling time, where the process of going downwards feels as if we are traveling in time.



The overall display center inherited the quintessence of light industrial fashion, exploring and searching for the secret of fresh time, the setting of each scene accentuates detailed quality and thoughts put forth towards the behavior and emotions of the one experiencing them. When the design began with the spatial design in the first place, the product characteristics of the discussion area guide our thoughts to the pureness in history and technology.
