Wuchang Preface Mansion, Wuhan

The project is located in Wuchang District, Wuhan, China, gracefully situated by the shores of Shahu Lake within the Wuchang Inner Ring. It extensively uses Versace black luxury stones, decorated with peacock green stones. The subdued elegance of Versace black contrasts with the clear and natural peacock green, creating a striking visual effect. A highlight of the material processing is the use of liquid marble craftsmanship, customized for luxury living.



Named after the Eastern rites, the project interprets Confucian etiquette, aiming to create a "new preface" in residential living that combines cultural core and discreet luxury. The design concept incorporates local cultural elements, using design language inspired by seals and jade artifacts unearthed in Hubei, the nurturing waters of the Yangtze River, and the "swallow," a symbol of good fortune in traditional Chinese culture. These elements form unique design symbols, bridging thousands of years of history and bringing them into contemporary daily life.



The project focuses on creating five key spaces, presenting a process of deepening spatial rhythm. Starting from the 70-meter-long exterior showcase of the community, one progresses inward to the entrance space and the water courtyard, experiencing the allure of water features reminiscent of tidal sounds. This is followed by the rear space, designed with traditional Chinese classical garden techniques of stacking mountains and managing water. Ascending through the flowing water and greenery, residents can fully appreciate the charm of living amidst nature. Finally, the project features a distinctive sunken courtyard, with an exquisite outdoor reception pavilion that connects the upper and lower spaces. Selected famous trees and flowers create an ecological three-dimensional forest, embodying the concept of healthy living in a forest-oxygen environment. The precious liquid peacock green luxury stone craftsmanship, combined with natural landscapes, presents a luxurious residential artwork that captures light and shadow.
