Ten years ago, the family consisted of four members. Now, the children have grown up and moved out to live independently, leaving some spaces no longer needed. Therefore, the homeowners wish to enhance their living quality by integrating and enlarging the space. Considering that the homeowners frequently travel abroad and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, as well as cooking, the designer's focus will be on bringing natural light into the interior and breaking down partitions to achieve the goal of enlarging the space. Firstly, on the X-axis level, connecting the foyer with the living room is the first step towards enlarging the space. The second step is linking the dining room with the kitchen. Secondly, in the Y-axis expansion plan, the designer will incorporate mirrors into the living room ceiling to achieve visual depth expansion. In addition, the homeowners have lived in this house for ten years and have a higher demand for storage functionality. To address the inadequacy of storage space in the original structure, this project has incorporated many hardware storage solutions in areas such as the foyer, dining room, and kitchen. These are designed to facilitate daily use and meet the homeowners' living needs. In terms of material selection, the designer aims to enhance the texture of the interior space through control of natural light. Therefore, the design of the blinds allows for independent opening and closing to adjust indoor lighting, creating different atmospheric moods. The use of solid wood veneer and special coatings gives the space a simple and warm effect, full of natural atmosphere, environmentally friendly, and without compromising on quality.
