CR Land Xiyuan Yue Mansion, Naning

The project is located in Jiangnan District, Nanning, Guangxi Province, adjacent to the Yongjiang River, in an area renowned as the “Green City of the South China”. Previously the site of the “Xiyuan Poetry Club” and the “Xiyuan Hotel”, it is a historic garden built along the Yongjiang River. For long-time residents of Nanning and those passionate about its culture, the Xiyuan Hotel holds cherished memories. The core design concept is to “preserve the natural and cultural charm of Xiyuan while creating a refined, luxurious, natural, and livable shared community”.



Each space of the project has its unique character and atmosphere. Xiyuan is characterized by its sacred, noble, elegant, and tranquil atmosphere, which feels both simple and pure. The design aims to preserve the essence and incorporate it into the space, protecting each precious native tree to allow the design to evolve organically and gradually form a space with Xiyuan’s unique character.



The landscape extends the waters of the Yongjiang River, creating hills that reflect the intrinsic love for mountains and rivers. It hope that this meticulously designed, forested community offers a natural healing experience, helping people reconnect with nature.



The overall landscape planning has divided the site into “four courtyards and five gardens”, with pathways linking each community node.



The design goal was not to create an entirely new landscape but to bridge the present with the past. By evoking the site's historical memories, it seek to rejuvenate the land's vitality and preserve its essence.
