As a new type of sports complex, the project preserves the existing comprehensive hall and natatorium while adding new facilities such as a multifunctional hall, basketball hall, vitality hall, and a auxiliary natatorium, forming a comprehensive sports functional building complex with a total floor area of 130,337 square meters. It not only provides indoor and outdoor venues for residents' daily training and competitions but also serves as a hub for promoting nationwide fitness, driving the sports industry, and inspiring a culture of sports. Therefore, the architectural planning adopts a more flexible form, breaking it down into components, creating an open national fitness space, connecting various venues with a vibrant street block, providing supporting services, and creating a healthy, fashionable, and vibrant sports carnival atmosphere. Simultaneously, a slow-traffic system - the Rainbow Running Track - is integrated, linking various venues and landscape nodes to provide more accessible and pleasant activity spaces.

In terms of architectural design, responding to the ecological and low-carbon development concept of Pingshan District, the building design incorporates various ecological and energy-saving measures, drawing inspiration from Lingnan architecture. The design emphasis on natural ventilation and lighting to reduce building energy consumption. The integration of architecture and landscape is fully realized, achieving a sponge city and child-friendly environment. The architectural facade takes inspiration from 'clouds in the sky' and 'trees on the earth,' abstracting the undulating lines of mountains and forests into a parametric modern language, creating a harmonious and distinctive architectural settlement effect. Each themed venue is adorned with colors matching sports, showing the health and vitality of sport.
