The Bubble Children's Hand Training Device marks a groundbreaking advancement in rehabilitation tools, combining enjoyable activities with effective health recovery features. Inspired by a concern on promoting the healthy growth of children, it re-evaluates and enhances conventional rehabilitation training techniques. During research, it was found that children with Down syndrome and those who need hand rehabilitation due to injuries face challenges like a lack of interest and motivation during the rehabilitation process. Rehabilitation training is a process involving lengthy and repetitive exercises, which can pose difficulties for children in maintaining their engagement and motivation. Consequently, the design aims at developing a product that is both enjoyable and effective in facilitating rehabilitation, enabling then to find pleasure in the interactive process and become more active in recovering health. The product comes with a mechanism that generates bubbles upon pressing. Leveraging on pressure sensor technology, bubbles are produced only when the applied pressure meets a specific threshold. This design is tailored to accommodate the needs of children with Down syndrome and those with hand injuries. For instance, children with Down syndrome often exhibit reduced muscle tone in their hands, while those with hand impairments may struggle with clasping hands with the thumb, or have a headache about notably short little finger, simian line. Therefore, the product is intentionally designed to require a certain level of force for activation, with the intensity of grip pressure directly influencing the quantity of bubbles generated, thereby assisting these children in their targeted rehabilitation efforts. The device is equipped with an integrated counter that tracks the number of presses performed by a child in real time, presenting this information on the trainer's surface to give feedback and encouragement. This creative and engaging method enhances the enjoyment of rehabilitation training, allowing children to naturally meet the grip strength benchmarks necessary for recovery while playing. Consequently, it fosters a relaxed recovery of hand function, leading to a more effective and enjoyable rehabilitation process.
