Discussing mental or neurological health challenges can often be hard. To those unfamiliar with them, the behaviors exhibited by affected individuals may seem erratic. Moreover, people grappling with these conditions face not only the symptoms but also profound societal stigma and misunderstanding. An innovative solution is required to enhance the social awareness and impart empathy to mitigate further harm to the patients and caregivers.

LINX XR Journey is an interactive gamified Extended Reality book designed for people concerned about mental or neurological health challenges, helps users step into patients’ world and experience their real-life struggles firsthand. The distinctive essence of LINX lies in its approach to addressing the daily hurdles encountered by patients, reshaping them into a series of tasks that others can experience and complete. In first person roleplays, users seamlessly engage with different symptoms within the chosen scenario map through interactive mini-games, using controllers to tackle tasks and conversing with the patient's parents and friends within the game, enables users to delve deeper into the patient's daily routines and social interactions. This process nurtures a sense of empathy within users, fostering a deeper connection and facilitating a more comprehensive understanding of patient circumstances and challenges they face.

Moreover, LINX is designed as an open world application, with ongoing additions of maps and tasks to amplify the voices of patients. Beyond entertainment, LINX serves as a crucial educational resource for healthcare professionals, caregivers, and the wider community. It offers valuable insights into coping strategies, communication techniques, and support mechanisms, benefiting family therapy programs, awareness events, and services conferences focused on mental or neurological health challenges.
