Jinming Academy Entrance, Shangqiu

The project is situated on the last precious plot of land at Sun Moon Lake in Shangqiu, adjacent to the city center. By deeply engaging with local culture, it imbues the design with unique significance, integrating cultural elements into the landscape. Residents are subtly enriched by the cultural environment, from the main entrance and clubhouse to the architectural textures and pathways.



Community Entrance

The community entrance serves as an iconic landmark, acting as a boundary between people and architecture. The academy’s design, reminiscent of stacked books, symbolizes cultural richness, embodying the weight of history while continuously infusing fresh insights to drive urban development.



Waterfall Wall

Flanking the entrance, the approximately 100-meter waterfall walls evoke the Milky Way, beautifully harmonizing with the Sun Moon Lake. Its majestic presence delineates the community’s boundaries while warmly welcoming residents home. Inside, a modern aesthetic cultivates an atmosphere of respect and tranquility. The wooden structures with metallic finishes provide a robust framework, while the interplay of classic gold and black grid patterns creates an artistic essence. Geometric lines extend outward, enhancing aesthetic tension by transforming complexity into simplicity and heaviness into lightness. This results in a luxurious exterior complemented by an elegant, transparent interior, fostering a unique sense of belonging.
